Hiring Process

A new career at Stop & Shop is an exciting opportunity. In an effort to make your transition to the Stop & Shop team as easy as possible, we have provided you with a step-by-step guide to our hiring process.  

The Hiring Process
  • Once a resume is received, it is reviewed by the Talent Acquisition Team against the qualifications of the open position.

  • All candidates will receive a response via email or U.S. Mail. This response will acknowledge the receipt of your resume.

  • Once your resume had been reviewed and qualified, you will receive a call from a Talent Acquisition Team member in reference to a current opportunity.

  • All qualified candidates meet with a Talent Acquisition Recruiter and the Hiring Manager. Depending on the position requirements, candidates may also meet with other members of the hiring department.

  • To ensure that we hire the very best talent, Stop & Shop utilizes various pre-employment selection tools such as competency and skills testing.

  • All candidates must consent to a drug screening and background investigation. 

  • Once a candidate has cleared all pre-selection and pre-employment testing, an offer will be extended to the most qualified candidate.

  • A start date is determined and the new hire attends a comprehensive orientation to the company.
